This event will put you in the Christmas
spirit!
Don’t miss a local holiday favorite, the
Gingerbread Extravaganza at Jacksonville Historical Society’s Old St.
Andrews. With a grand opening on Tuesday November 29, it’s
open every day through December 22, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
except Sundays. A small entry donation is suggested:
$3 per child and $5 for adults, with proceeds going to the Jacksonville
Historical Society.
This year's Extravaganza features over 30
amazing Gingerbread houses and wild creations by local chefs and
everyday citizens in the historic St. Andrews!
Next door
to Old St. Andrews and the Extravaganza, tour the Historical
Society’s Victorian Merrill Museum
House 1:30 p.m. to
3:30 p.m., a walk through
life in Jacksonville
100 years ago. This award-winning museum house is “dressed” for
the holidays and ready to showcase the city’s turn-of-the-century
history.
Also watch the free movie “Jacksonville Past” shown in the
historic church St. Andrews.
The Gingerbread House Extravaganza began in 2002.
