COLORFUL BREWSTER

The picture is actually a photo that's been airbrush.  It comes from a postcard produced in about 1940.  Brewster Hospital stood at 7th & Jefferson streets in Springfield.  Methodist Hospital is the current occupant of the site.

According to a caption on the postcard's back, Brewster Hospital was "a modern 95-bed institution with up-to-date hospital facilities and clinics for all types of patients."
