These people boarded at this trellised Jacksonville home during the 1880s. They included a baby and at least one little boy. The African Americans were probably servants, maids, and/or cooks. In 1890, the city's population numbered only 17,201. This is less than Jacksonville Beach's total of almost 21,000 in the year 2000.
