This automobile made a trip while suspended above the floor.  The Jacksonville photo was taken in a Seaboard Railroad boxcar on July 7, 1937.  By the way, what was happening in America that day?  Franklin D. Roosevelt became the first US President to attend a Major League Baseball All-Star Game.  The American League fielded a team composed of such Yankees as Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio, and so it beat the National League by a score of 8 to 3.  The legendary Gehrig drove in four runs, pounding out a homer and a double.  President Roosevelt proved a tremendous fan of the National Pastime.  He even insisted that the Major Leagues continue their play during World War II.  Roosevelt believed that the diversion would prove beneficial to his country's troops.
