Here are pictures from the passenger train, the Henry M. Flagler, which rolled between Jax and Miami. The images date from 1939,and the top photo was taken in Miami. It shows the train's crew, including conductors, engineers, chefs, porters, and perhaps a female African American custodian. The bottom image depicts an engineer in the locomotive's cab. The old railroad man was witnessing the beginning of the end for steam.
