TOP PICTURE -- Air brushes were used to colorize this postcard of an early Florida streamliner.  It probably shows the passenger train, Henry M. Flagler, in 1939.  The card was postmarked May 7, 1945.

BOTTOM IMAGE -- Here's the Henry M. Flagler in 1939, the first year of its service.  America's involvement in World War II (1941-1945) slowed the use and development of various things, such as TV sets and diesel locomotives.  Otherwise, the Sunshine State probably would've seen many more diesel engines sooner.
