(Source of image: Florida Collection, Main Public Library, Jacksonville) CLICK HERE for another shot of these dudes OUTTA SIGHT! -- Did these cats raid Barry Manilow's closet? Check out the boss threads from the '70s, the decade of such eye candy as shiny polyester brown shirts with lime green flower prints. These dudes were mellowing out at the Main Library downtown, maybe before bookin' it on their banana-seat bikes to a disco joint with a revolving ball light. A funky period piece itself, the Main Library building, with its fanciful turrets and lime green tiles, opened in 1965. It won't serve the public much longer, however, for its operations will move to a giant new structure on Hemming Plaza in mid 2005. Dy-No-Mite!
