A male cheerleader ballyhoos a contest in this Daylight Supermarket window. The photo was taken in Jacksonville in 1948. A drawing for the Philco Freezers was to be held in downtown Hemming Park in late November, just in time for Thanksgiving. As shown by a signature in the lower left-hand corner, someone named "Ralph Price" may've painted the picture. Or was that the name of the corny cartoon character?
