Do you get the impression that the owners were posing during the opening day of their business?  The proprietors of the electric company were Frank D. Grosse and Robert L. Millican.  The picture was snapped in June, 1948.  The enterprise is not listed in the 1947-'48 city directory for Jacksonville, but it does appear in the 1949 volume. 

The Grosse & Millican shop was located at the site of a former beauty salon, the Vanity Box.  Its address was 2042 Rosselle Street, just southwest of the merger of I-10 & I-95.
