JAX CURIOSITY SHOP: MATTRESS FACTORY

This company enticed its customers with such slogans as "New Mattresses Direct from Factory to You," "Old Mattresses Made New," and "One Day Service."  Here's the Quick Service Mattress Company, located in the Brooklyn/North Riverside area.  Its Mediterranean-style factory stood at 381 Park Street, not too far west from today's Blue Cross & Blue Shield building.  This photo is dated 1949, and it certainly looks it judging by the vehicles.  The owner of the business was John H. Godwin.
